I sighed, looking outside the window, watching the beautiful leaves of orange, red and brown softly falling off of the branch. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. It’s a beautiful season and the scenery is amazing to look at.
“Kasey?” I heard my best friend, Rachel open the door of my bedroom snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Hey” I said, tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. “What’s up?” I asked.
“Well” She started. “Since, today is Halloween, there are some people throwing a huge Halloween, masquerade party thing, loads of people are going and I was just wondering if you wanted to go” She smiled.
“Sure, but we don’t have any costumes to wear” I stated.
“Yes, we do actually” She replied, grinning. She then brought out two costumes from her bag that I didn’t notice her bring in. One was black witch costume, with a sexy vibe to it. But the other one, I have to say, was beautiful. It was an angel costume in beautiful white silk, and it flowed all the way down to the floor.
It was gorgeous to say the least.
“I had these two in my closet for ages now, and I thought tonight was the perfect time to use them” She handed me the white one. “I think the white one suits best on you, it matches a lot with those new heels you bought the other day at the mall” She smiled.
I took it from her softly. “It’s beautiful, Rach” I said, smiling at her.
“I know, that’s I chose it” She smirked.
“What if it gets ruined? You know how clumsy I am” I said, giving her a pointed look.
“It won’t” She rolled her eyes. “But if it does, my mom can just wash it, no big Deal.” She shrugged.
I sighed. “What time is the party?” I asked, getting up from my bed, hanging the dress up in my closet, somewhere safe.
“It starts at seven and doesn’t finish till midnight or something” She said getting all her make-up put from her little carrier bag and placing it neatly on my bed.
I looked up at the clock hanging on my bedroom wall. “I think we should start getting dressed now, as we need to have a shower, do our hair and make-up and stuff” I said.
“Good point, well I already showered before I got here, so you can go now while I get dressed” Rachel said, picking up her dress.
“Mkay” I said, walking into the bathroom.
When I finished showering, I wrapped a towel round my head and body, before walking out to my room where Rachel was getting changed.
I wolf-whistled. “Damn girl, I’d do you” I said in my best manly voice when I saw her.
She giggled. “I got your dress and laid it out on your bed, when you’re done drying your hair, go put it on, I’m going to go do my make-up” She stated, walking to my make-up stationary that I have inside m walk-in-wardrobe.
I grabbed my blow-dryer, drying my hair and after about ten minutes, I grabbed my brush and slowly started combing my hair till it was silky smooth.
I slowly walked over to my bed, where the dress was laying there carelessly.
I slipped on some lacy red underwear before slipping on the white dress.
I glanced at the mirror quickly, just to make sure it looked okay, before making my way across the room, to my walk-in-closet where Rachel was standing slipping on her black heels.
When she felt my presence, she looked up and gasped, placing a hand over her mouth.
Did I look that bad?
I looked down at myself to make sure there wasn’t any faults before looking up to meet Rachel’s gaze.
“Oh my gosh Kasey, you look fucking flawless!” She said, grinning.
I scoffed. “Have you looked in the mirror lately?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
She rolled her dark brown eyes. “No but seriously Kase, you do look amazing” she smiled at me.
“Thank you” I mumbled. I’m not very good with compliments, even if it’s from my best friend.
"Now go do your make-up while I get the hair straightener.” She announced leaving the room.
I’m not an expert at make-up so this should be interesting.
After applying lipgloss, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow and a hint of blush. I was done with my creation and I have to say, I’m impressed.
I snapped my lips together before leaving my closet and going into my bedroom.
“Wow I’m impressed with your make-up, I thought it was going horrible in there” Rachel giggled.
I giggled back. “I know, but it didn’t come out too bad so I’m proud” I grinned.
“Now for your hair, sir down ,and let me do my magic.” Rachel smiled pulling grabbing a stool that was in the corner of my room, before telling me to sit.
Rachel did an amazing job on my hair, it was pin to perfection.
“Now for the final touch” Rachel took two masks out of her bag, before handing me one.
“What is this for?” I asked her, examining the mask.
“As I said before, this a Halloween masquerade party therefore we all need to wear a mask as a disguise” She said slipping hers over her head.
I put mine on, adjusting it so it fit perfectly.
“You ready?” She smiled.
I took a quick glance at the mirror, checking out my mask before saying. “Yep, I’m ready, let’s go” I smiled, picking up my purse.
She smiled back, linking her arm with mine.
When we arrived at the place, I took in my surroundings seeing as they decorated the whole house, or should I say mansion, perfectly. It was all decked out in Halloween stuff and it did look pretty scary to be honest.
“Come on Kase” Rachel said, dragging me inside the house, to where everyone was at.
Now the inside was even better, the whole place was filled with people dressed up in their costumes and masks, I know they all are from my school and neighbourhood, but with the area being all dark and everyone with their masks on, you couldn’t exactly tell who everyone was.
“Rachel?” I asked, looking around for her.
She was no where in sight.
Shit, I lost her.
I looked like a retard, walking around on my own like a lost sheep.
I’ve been looking for Rachel for the past half hour and she was no where to be found.
There are so many people dressed similar to her, which makes this much harder for me.
I sighed, giving up.
“Hey there, angel” A sexy, raspy voice whispered in my ear.
I turned around to see who it was, and I saw the most beautiful eyes ever. They were so captivating and mesmerising, a beautiful mocha brown, with a speck of gold in the centre.
“H-hi” I mumbled back, still in awe with his wirlpools of chocolate.
“What’re you doing standing here on your own?” he raised a perfect eyebrow.
I sighed. “I kind of erm, lost my friend?” I said, well more like questioned.
"How about I take her place for now?” he asked, smirking.
I gulped. “S-sure”. I cleared my throat. “Yeah, sure” I said more clearly. Wow, that was embarrassing. If only I could take this beauty’s mask off.
He chuckled, clearly noticing my nervousness. “Wanna dance?” he asked, letting his hand out for me to hold it.
“I’d be glad to” I smiled, with no stuttering this time. You go Glenn Coco!
I placed my hand small, delicate hand, onto his large, rough but soft one. The second our hands met, I felt an electric spark rush through my body like a firework had exploded inside.
Whatever that feeling was, it wasn’t something I’ve ever felt before.
Get a grip Kasey! You’ve only just met the guy. I scowled to myself.
But he is most likely someone who attends my school. But who could it be though? If I knew him, I would most definitely remember seeing those beautiful eyes anywhere. But nothing came to mind.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when he came to a stop, in the middle of the dance floor.
A slow, romantic song started playing as I wrapped my arms around his neck, looking into his deep brown orbs.
He placed his hands on my hips, gently rocking us back and forth, to the rhythm of the music.
His eyes held an intense gaze as they stared down at mine.
I looked down to hide my blush from him, but he caught it chuckling, nuzzling his head into my neck.
I sighed softly closing my eyes.
This stranger that I just met, has made me feel new feelings with just one look.
I need to find out who he is.
As the song finally came to an end, he lifted his face from the crook of my neck, softly stroking his thumb on my cheek.
“Kasey?” I heard a familiar voice yell out my name.
I unwrapped my arms from the stranger’s neck, turning around to see who was calling me, before i crashed in to something, or more like, someone, who was holding a tray of punch as it spilled all over the front of my dress.
I gasped feeling it go through the material and onto my skin.
I looked up and saw Rachel standing there with one hand covering her mouth.
“Kasey? Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!” She cried out, staring at my dress.
It was stained a bright red, there was not a inch of the dress that had white in it, it looked like i dyed it to make it look like this.
I felt someone’s stare from behind me.
I turned slightly to see ‘the stranger’ stare at me with wide eyes.
“I’m gonna go get some napkins o-or something, I'll be right back!” Rachel said frantically, pushing her way past through the crowd.
“My dress is all ruined” I muttered, looking down at it sighing.
“It’s not ruined angel” The stranger said, trailing his hands across the dress.
“It looks like i was angel turned devil” I pouted.
He chuckled. “No, you’re still an angel, a red angel” he said, taking a step closer to me with every word.
He brushed his lips against my neck softly, before whispering. “My red angel.”
